Hannibal – 15 April 2011
The entire Rettenbach glacier high above Sölden plays host to a truly outstanding avant-garde theater play in a futurist setting: Hannibal and the crossing of the Alps - his way to Rome accompanied by the Carthaginian troops.
Snow-grooming machines are elephants while skiers, climbers and parachutes are modern warriors. Riders cross the glacier fields on skidoos and flight acrobats try to hinder them on their way to the south. The whole performance is accomplished by breathtaking light effects, music, videos and pyrotechnical shows. More details are available here
